Overview:
A set of invitations to celebrate on a day (many billions of years from now) when we are engulfed by the "red-giant" sun.
Join us as we party from our escape pod from the earth! Inspired by the clean and educational timeline visuals of NASA with a touch of gritty sci-fi to embody the wonder of intergalactic adventures.

UNDERSTANDING THE PROBLEM
A unique challenge for designers is to bridge the physical and the digital in a seamless experience. While sometimes difficult to accomplish, the results are dynamic and memorable for the beholder.
In this project, I forged a connection between the physical and digital components to create a hybrid physical/digital invitation for a fictional celebratory event.
Invitation Animation
This serves as an email attachment, and demonstrates the order the card recipient would open the card in. Though one would gain this experience flipping through the trifold card in their hand, this allows the viewer to read through it digitally in a similar visual order.
Animation Timeline
The itinerary is designed and inspired by futuristic posters and scientific infographics, the space pod travels similarly as the eye would scan while traveling through an intergalactic timeline.
